Set functions
The two buttons on the side with microswitch technology are used to control all set functions. Use them to switch from a neolog display to a digital display in 12 or 24 hour mode. Alternative, you can switch to the battery saving mode with a black display without bar code or numbers. The backlight is also activated by pressing a button.
Measurements and weight
Measure of casing: 28 x 50 x 11.7 mm (WxLxH). The watch weighs 85 grams.
Power-saving mode - LC display can be switched off
To extend the lifetime of the battery, the NEOLOG DQ features a display that can be switched off. The display turns black while continuing to keep time. By reactivating the neolog or digital display, the current time is displayed.
Battery
The CR2025 type lithium battery lasts a minimum of 12 months As the display backlight function requires a lot of power, frequent use of this function shortens the life of the battery. If this standard battery needs to be changed, visit a specialist outlet - please do not change the battery yourself!
Serial number of your NEOLOG DQ watch
A unique serial number - assigned only once - is engraved on the back of the casing. This makes each NEOLOG a unique piece. Watch strap
The NEOLOG DQ sports an elegant watch strap made from soft, seamless Italian lamp nappa. Its widths is 24 mm. The clasp/buckle is crafted from a single piece and is made from heavy surface-hardened stainless steel (AISI 316L) and coated with titan carbonitride. Even though the design of the clasp/buckle looks simple, it is difficult to cast this type of clasp/buckle from a single piece. It is therefore special and rare. You will soon be able to order the leather watch strap separately.
Watch glass
The NEOLOG DQ features a scratch-proof, non-reflecting plano-convex sapphire glass. A sapphire glass is the best glass for watches - only very few minerals, such as diamonds are less sensitive and more enduring. The plano-convex sapphire glass requires special processing. This makes is rare, difficult to produce and costly.
Accuracy
The accuracy of the NEOLOG DQ is +/- 15 seconds per month.
Water-resistance
The NEOLOG DQ is water-resistant up to 5 ATM. This degree of water-resistance is quite adequate for a designer watch, only sport watches offer a higher water-resistance. The watch is well protected against splash water and a damp environment. However, we recommend you take the watch off when going for swim or taking a shower.
Temperature dependence
The watches have been subjected to thermal stresses as per ISO standards (several hours at 0° to 50 °), which they have passed. The ambient temperature is offset when the watch is worn. Due to the conductivity the metal casing temperature at the wrist is adapted to the natural body heat of the watch wearer - especially in environments colder than 0°C.
Backlight
When the backlight is activated, the display of the NEOLOG DQ is presented in blue - the bar code or numbers appear in light grey.
Nickel allergy/Stainless steel casing
The casing, the casing bottom, the buttons and the clasp/buckle of the NEOLOG DQ are made from heavy, surface-hardened stainless steel (AISI 316L) with titan carbonitride coating. This is a particularly high quality stainless steel that does not release nickel to the surface and thus does not cause nickel allergies. All steel contains nickel as an essential component.
